What is video now?

VideoNow is a brand of portable video players that were produced by Hasbro in the early 2000s. These devices allowed users to watch a selection of specially formatted videos on a small, color LCD screen. VideoNow players used small plastic discs called PVDs (Personal Video Discs) that contained about 30 minutes of video content.

The VideoNow line included various models, such as the VideoNow Color and VideoNow XP, with different features and color options. The content available for VideoNow players included episodes of popular children's shows, music videos, and other short-form entertainment.

Although popular for a brief period, VideoNow players eventually faced competition from other portable media devices like DVD players and iPods, leading to a decline in sales. Hasbro discontinued the VideoNow line in the mid-2000s, but the devices still hold a nostalgic appeal for many who grew up with them.
